Corbin Gurkin is the voice behind the AMAZING photographs from this Italian, oh-so-elegant wedding. It’s a refreshing change from the rustic chic affairs that we feature here and I am loving the soft, subtle palette and the traditionally gorgeous styling. The dress that the bride is ROCKING is by Monique Lhuillier. We actually asked her what her one piece of advice for brides would be and she said… Pay attention to every detail before the wedding, but remember to let go of control on the day so you can focus on enjoying yourself! Enough said. Pretty, pretty, pretty. The space alone is en... |
When Lisa Lefkowitz sends me one of her weddings, my heart does a little pitter-patter. She is so good at what she does, so thoughtful in her photography, she just allows you fall head over heels for every single affair. So when she emailed me today’s first featured wedding, I did a little happy dance. Then I saw that one of my all time favorite planners and now dear friends, Alison Hotchkiss, designed the affair and that happy dance got MUCH bigger. The wedding was held at Meadowood in St. Helena, California on labor day weekend, with 100 friends and family who joined the beautiful bride... |
This wedding is all together easy on the eyes. And I really mean that…it’s so easy to fall in love with, so easy to see the beauty behind the day, so easy to just relax and let the prettiness unfold. Sent to us by the wonderfully talented Corbin Curkin, the wedding was held in Italy and was inspired by the brides love of all things wedding! From the bride.. We had all four seasons in one day!” Yes, it’s true, it absolutely poured down rain from the moment we drove to the reception well into the dinner hour but the group just grabbed umbrellas and Anna was determined to get beautiful... |
I do love a proper traditional affair, with classic styling and the most elegant of brides. Sometimes it’s just perfect to have a no frills, simple yet chic wedding day, which Sarah and Steven achieved perfectly, and it represents them completely. I love the dramatic atmospheric feel of the grand hotel and the black and white images. Thanks so much to the amazing, Leeds based wedding photographer, Toast, for sharing her images today, here is what she had to say about the day; “The pair were hitched at their local church (Sarah could have walked there it’s so local but instead she go... |
I have multiple personalities when it comes to weddings. I love a little bit of everything…from rustic chic, to sophisticated and contemporary. Lately, I’ve been on a little bit of a Traditional Elegance kick and the wedding that I am featuring this morning fit the bill to perfection. Sent to us by THREE of our favorite Little Black Book members, Docuvitae, Bella Figura and Celebrations of Joy!, this wedding is all together lovely! From Cyd at Bella Figura… Lisa and Stephen were married September 13, 2008 at the Malibu Nature Preserve in Malibu, California. Picking up on the flowers th... |
Sometimes we feature perfect weddings. You know, those weddings where every detail just seems to fall right off the pages of a magazine. This is one of those perfect weddings. The bride and groom are flawless, the detailing that Alison Hotchkiss dreamed up, the flowers by Branch and of course, the perfect photographs by Lisa Lefkowitz…are all right out of my dream wedding. Here are a few notes from Lisa… Amanda and Buck were married at the beautiful Meadowood resort on Labor Day weekend of 2008. 100 friends and family joined them in the celebration. The ceremony and dinner took place ... |
If you are just now stopping by, we are devouring THE most beautiful wedding that Lisa Lefkowitz sent us. Lisa is a dream come true, always sending us affairs that are sophisticated, elegant and utterly gorgeous, with details that make me swoon time and time again. This wedding, designed by the fabulous Alison Hotchkiss, is that…and so much more. A few more details from Lisa Lefkowitz… After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the lawn as the sun dipped behind the hills. Kings tables were draped with creamy beige linens and topped with glass chargers. Lauren God... |
We are featuring the loveliest wedding…perfect for all of you more traditionally styled brides out there. Docuvitae is the photographer behind the affair and helped to capture the day with perfect elegance, a style that reflected the personalities of the couple and made forever memories of the day. Bella Figura, who we also love here at SMP, designed all of the paper goods including those ridiculously lovely table numbers below. From Cyd at Bella Figura… Lisa and Stephen were walked down the aisle by their families and wrote their own vows to each other. They personally selected all of th... |
The final gorgeous traditional wedding that we are featuring today is from Pineapple Productions … From the beginning, Lizanne and Joe wanted a wedding that highlighted the old world elegance and history of Washington, D.C. They selected their neighborhood church, historic Saint Alban’s Episcopal Church, for the ceremony. The exquisite Cosmos Club, a historic social club in the heart of Washington, D.C., was selected for the reception. The French Renaissance architecture and elegance of the Club set the stage for a magical evening. Upon arrival to the Club, guests passed through intri... |
