Earlier this summer, I had the pleasure of visiting the Stone Manor Country Club located in Middletown, Maryland (near Frederick, Maryland). The Stone Manor web site says that this venue is located approximately 50 minutes away from DC. I have driven to this venue twice from Bowie, Maryland and I have found that 50 minutes is pretty accurate. Here is a side view of the venue. I neglected to take a front view picture of the venue, but you can easily tell from this picture why the venue is call Stone Manor Country Club. This stone manor estate located on a 114 acres. I recently went to Stone Manor with a bride and I was totally blown away — the impeccably maintained property was such a lovely country retreat! The quaint, pastoral Stone Manor Country Club is situated on 100 acres of rolling hills in beautiful Middletown, Maryland. It is the perfect location for those couples desiring a country-style, private event with unbeatable views and superb customer service. In fact, Stone Manor hosts only a single event per day, and thus clients can expect undivided attention on their wedding. Employees promise to do everything they can to make sure all aspects of ... |
Last year, my team and I had the pleasure of taking care of a wedding at the Oxon Hill Manor in Fort Washington, Maryland. The manor sits high on a hill with a really nice view of the Potomac River, the National Harbor and parts of DC. The grounds include formal English gardens, rose bushes surrounding a reflecting pool, and a large brick patio. This entrance into the garden is one of my favorites. Here is the lawn. There are so many places on their grounds for a lovely wedding ceremony. This is a picture of the same lawn (just an opposite point of view) with a wedding cerem... |
I’ve always loved the idea of a French inspired manor as the backdrop for a wedding. This is one I stumbled upon awhile ago and have had saved ever since! Located on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Glynt Manor was built in 1917 by Victoria’s first permanent white settlers and has since become a luxury boutique hotel which provdes a beautiful backdrop for a wedding. The gardens are beautiful for a wedding ceremony- inspired by France and England, the gardens cover 2.5 acres of the beautiful Mount Martha region. Lila and Demetri reopened the hotel in 2008 as Glynt Manor and have fill... |
As long as I can remember, and before I ever had the pleasure of visiting France, I knew that I would one day have a home there. It is the only place that I have ever said, at first blush, “I will live here one day”. It is not a dream it is living goal that I work at daily. That dream now includes a French manor. I came upon this amazing French manor on Coco Cozy and had to find out more about this home and the photographer. It also helps that all of my favorite colors and hues have been used to paint the manor. The images are taken by Gilles Trillard and showcase the beauty of French dé... |
Victoria and David’s wedding is gorgeous – when Sara and Tony from Marry Me Films got in touch I instantly fell in love with this film from their Thornton Manor wedding. Victoria is a real English beauty, and her wedding … Continue reading → ... |
Kate and Steve’s wedding is a beautiful splash of colour: if weddings were flowers, this would be a bird of paradise – if weddings were butterflies, Kate and Steve’s day would be a peacock. If weddings were birds… oh, damn. … Continue reading → ... |
Tracy and Richard were married at the stunning Thornton Manor. Their style – as you’ll see instantly from the beginning of this wedding movie – is cool, just a dab quirky and lots of fun! Tracy’s dress is an absolute stunner – she makes a beautiful bride. Inspiring details include the white VW camper van to the church, the vintage cars on the drive to the manor house, the wishing tree and beautiful group shots taken by top wedding photographer Tobiah Tayo. The wedding reception has lovely vintage styling with candelabras on every table draped with strings of pearls. The sumptuous ven... |
Andy & Maiko met whilst Andy was working out in Japan. They now live in London and chose a venue close to the area where Andy spent his childhood in Reigate, Surrey. Friends and family flew in from all around the world. I just love the bright red colours of the bridesmaid’s dresses. Maiko’s veil was absolutely stunning (gotta love a long veil!) and the best part is, she made it herself! ... |
Sunee and Spencer celebrated their vows on Valentine’s Day at Oxon Hill Manor, a beautiful spot overlooking the Potomac River, surrounded by formal English gardens and roses. Sunee looks stunning in a handmade lace gown that came to her from a family friend in Thailand, and her red patent leather shoes are the perfect contrast! Their first dance was to Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You by Lauryn Hill, and every last detail of their chic wedding was artfully photographed by the talented Ever After Visuals.
