If you’re having a English country garden themed wedding then what better way to celebrate your engagement than with a complete opposite in a Sex and the City style pre-wedding shoot!? I am loving all the wardrobe changes, especially that ruffly, ruched green dress - I have been swooning over it in Coast myself for the past few months! Thank you to the wonderful Julia Boggio for sending me these exclusive (woop woop!) images to share with you all. Julia is not only one of the UK’s most fabulous photographers but she is the star of that infamous Dirty Dancing first dance video - if you h... |
Photo Courtesy of We Heart ItHello Dear Readers! I'm in New York this week for business, and while I adore the Third Coast, there is something magical about this city. In addition to a ton of business meetings, we're also sitting down with the editorial teams from Vogue, Lucky, Oprah, Women's Wear Daily, and more. I can guarantee you that no matter how fashionable you feel, you never can compete with the incredible fashion sense of New Yorkers. There is so much energy here. I've spent a lot of time in NYC the past six years, but this is the first time that I've fell... |
So after today’s spoiler by Cynthia Nixon (which don’t worry I’m not mentioning) about the forthcoming Sex And The City movie, I had to post this pic of the girls on Carrie’s wedding day. Can’t wait! Now to con someone into seeing it with me. I promise there may be cocktails! (oh who am I kidding, there better be!) (Image from Ninemsn)... |
Cities have always held a particular fascination and excitement for me, namely San Francisco, which just happens to be my home sweet home. One of the best things about my job is dressing brides for almost every kind of wedding you can imagine, the city chic bride being one of my favorite themes. The metropolitan wedding can be as informal and minimal (but chic) as a city hall affair or as high dress as this celebration on a roof garden. City dressing gives you the opportunity really 'Vogue' and wear those short kid gloves, carry a tiny satin clutch or spo... |
For me the backdrop of a ccityscape conjures weekday weddings and alternatives to the big white traditional gown. City Hall nuptials usually happen quickly with a celebration somewhere nearby--a restaurant, club or private home. This means a bride has all the chic touches that say wedding only abbreviated. Hems are usually ankle or tea length, veils either short or some hybrid of hat/veil combo . . . An ankle length, scoop necked silk jersey dress and wide-brimmed horse hair hat. White Chantilly all over lace dress with a two ... |

SATC fans rejoice, you can now own a version of Carrie’s Vivienne Westwood wedding gown creation when you say “I do” on your big day. I know some Carrie fans (i.e. my sister!) who will go ga-ga over this Carrie creation, available from Net-a-porter. ... |
As Carrie and Mr. Big showed us, an over-the-top, lavish wedding isn’t always the answer. Something small can be just as stylish. A simple dress, a great photographer, wedding announcements in lieu of invitations, an intimate ceremony at the courthouse followed by a little quiet time alone at a favorite spot in the city, then a meal with family and a few of your closest and dearest friends at a nearby restaurant. Perfect! Featured Design: Love Logo #9 wedding announcement Photo Credits: row 1: Megan Wynn Photography via Casando Ideias row 2: Veer, Johnathan Canlas row 3: Linda Chaja Photog... |
Leslee and Beny represent a new trend in weddings. No, not a trend in taking engagement photos Downtown (although we LOVE that they did that!), but the trend towards small ceremonies and larger receptions on totally separate days. This MJSE couple is tying the knot in Hawaii with an intimate group of close family and friends in July and then throwing an all out bash at hip new venue in town, The London, in August. Stay tuned for more fun details about their impeding nuptials! Skye Blu brought the sexy, as always! Mint Julep Social Events... |
