By Sheena and Cedric, Dallas, Texas Cedric and I met randomly in my apartment complex out of the blue, and after long phone conversations and nice dates we hit it off. Four years later here we are getting married. I felt like it was meant to happen, and I'm so grateful to meet someone like him and have him in my life. Things started going wrong when we were supposed to have our wedding in New Orleans, my husband's home town. When this opportunity came up I was like, I am not going to miss out on this for nothing. I started seeing so many things in Hobby Lobby, and wanted to incorporate... |
this is the one that I would float away in...Persuasion...i love this dress...so dreamy...but alas... I have my dress (see it here) . She's a simple little thing....really plain...nothing really special in all honesty...but she fits me fine. There are things I like about her - the ivory coloring...the soft texture of the silk...and this teeny tiny detail 5 or so inches from the hem that I get a kick out of. I've even grown to appreciate my craziness in her acquisition...despite experiencing pangs of dress regret like so many...this dress and I have been on a journey together already...a... |

In the end, Louis and Allison chose Melia Cabo Real because of it... |
So in my previous post, I shared with you about how I came to find the venue of my dreams, Rancho Las Lomas and how my dream of getting married there was quickly squashed when we received the catering quote. So…. Cut to the following weeks of November, 2008 when I took Mr Fix It to 12 different venues for other options. All in all, we visited: *Fullerton Arboretum (an outdoor lawn site at a local nursery with trees and ponds where you bring in all the rentals to get married under the stars on the grass) *Turnip Rose (a nice outdoor courtyard patio in Newport Beach with an inside hall t... |

Words by Courtney CoxPhotos courtesy of Jana Morgan PhotographyBrittanee and Chad hail from Alberta, Canada and always knew they wanted to say “I do” in Hawaii. The couple traveled to Maui when they first started dating and easily pictured themselves one day getting married there. Also, after they compared the cost of getting married at home vs. a destination wedding, the choice was easy and they said “Aloha” to the isle of Maui, Hawaii.Their families also frequented the islands and so were generally excited about the couple’s wedding. Their only reservation was the fact that the cou... |
