{Image #1,7 Viceroy #2,3 Decorno; #4 We Heart It, #5 via Rebecca June and #6 Coco+Kelley} I am feeling dramatic today and in the mood for some glamorous surroundings. High shine, black and white, and larger than life are the name of this game. It never hurts to throw in a little carrera marble while you're at it. Love it. While I am living in this high gloss dream world, I think I will be lounging around my fab surroundings in one of these: ... |

I was asked to be involved with the HOT103 - Wonderful Wedding Show - Dream Wedding video shoot at the Fairmont Hotel - together with Peggy from Little Flower Shop, we created a Royal Glam look for the shoot. Thanks so much to Peggy for the fabulous rentals and florals, Kylee from Planned Perfectly for the gorgeous linens, Marie from Vanilla Bean Cakes for the cakes (they honestly took my breath away), and the lovely Melissa from Sugar and Soul Photography for taking these stunning photos. 2011 will definitely be the year of Royal Glam!... |
Okay, okay, okay, I know I've posted boards of bold black stripes, silhouettes, cameos and pink monocromatics before (recently if I remember correctly)--but I just can't sing enough praises of this clean and daring combo. If you're looking toward a Spring 2011 wedding, this might just be your inspiration. Many thanks again to Anita Brown over at SMP Style Circle. I'm always lifting her boards and sharing her talent with you. Do visit her blog 2bsquared Design chock full of ideas on paper, photography and fashion.... |
Krista & Uryah had a 1920s style wedding in Snohomish, WA. As a professional seamstress, Krista planned and DIY’d the majority of wedding herself. I have a whole lot of love for this set - her shoes, her back lace umbrella, the cigarette holders – classy and wonderful! Thanks to Clane for sending me these. Mwah! ... |
Aww pretty pretty sparkle dress! Faith sure looks rock n roll glam on her wedding day back in April! It’s not only the dress that I love - her faux tats are super cute and the peacock feathers instead of a traditional floral bouquet are of course stunning. Her one of a kind, custom dress was designed and made by Marelize from Gingered in South Africa. The gown was based on Jenny Packham’s Papillon dress, but being in South Africa getting hold of the origianl proved too difficult so Faith decided to get her own version made. Marelize even spent over 45 hours hand sewing on all the be... |
The Bridal Salon at Stanley Korshak in Dallas is being invaded by British glam! These beautiful designs from Jenny Packham's Fall 2010 collection are totally dreamy. We are loving the layers and layers of full flowing fabrics. Necklines are also really emphasized in this collection. The intricate and detailed beading around the face and fluffy layers creating halter, boatneck, plunging 'v's and strapless silhouettes are to die for. Be sure to mark your calendar for May 13, The Bridal Salon at Stanley Korshak in Dallas will feature Jenny Packham for a one-day only trunk show! Yo... |
We just had to share some more incredible images captured by Humza Yasin Photography from the pages of our new Spring/Summer 2011 issue of Brides of North Texas. This week the spotlight is on A Stylish Soiree who designed this retro tablescape found on pages 38-39! This outdoor table setting was placed just outside Hickory Street Annex with a vintage airstream motorhome in the background! Inspired by everything retro meets glam, we love the fun and eco-friendly vibe from this table! These fabulous florals from A Stylish Soiree pop next to the earthy burlap linens from BBJ Linen. For unique ... |
With our gown shoot for the February 2011 issue quickly wrapping up, we couldn’t help but look back at the beautiful past gown shoots captured by Greg Blomberg Photography (top) at the NYLO Dallas/Las Colinas hotel, KJ Images (middle) at The Fort Worth Club and Edmonson Weddings (bottom). We’ve been so lucky to work with fabulous models and with help from the talented team at Troy Richard Salon, they have been nothing short of glamorous! Troy and his glam patrol have been on location for every shoot making sure that hair and make-up are perfection! Located in Frisco, Texas, the team at... |
Today, we’re here to prove that DIY doesn’t have to mean rustic. Today’s wedding is as glam and sequined as it is DIY and simple. Can you even handle how cute these sequined bridesmaid dresses are?? And then there’s the stunning bride (red lips? Double check), bow tied groom, and hot pink peonies–pretty much the perfect Grey approved style. Very very special thanks to photographer Patrick Moyer for letting us share these images. I feel like a lucky lady today.
