DIY Light Bulb Vases Recycle those old light bulbs and create darling vases for your next party or event! Simply hang them from branches or outdoor yard hooks! Fill with small buds or greenery for a whimsical little vase! In order to sit upright, you have to set your light bulb on a round washer or some sort of rubber round in order for it to stay stable. We love them hanging though! STEP 1: Carefully peel off the contact at the base of the light bulb using needle-nose pliers. Would you believe me if I told you… that these vases… along with these … … were recycled Starbucks’ frapuccino bottles?!?! OMG, how totally ingenious is that?! Top photo shows them spray painted in white, pink and deep red. But I can imagine them in other pretty colors as well. Maybe seafoam green or pale aqua… ooohh la la!
