So, we’ve had all of our tracking in place for nearly two weeks now. It’s been fun seeing what brides are searching for on our site. Some days, I get the most random search terms that makes me laugh, ie: donkey & tequilla. Really? On a wedding search engine? But most of the time, brides are searching for colors, wedding gown designers, diy projects, milk glass, succulents, and wedding vendors. I have a lot of blogs indexed, but very few wedding vendors. Contact me if you’d like to have your blog considered for indexing!
We are currently implementing a geo-targeting system inside our wedding blog search engine. What this means is that when a bride searches for a mason jar diy project, I’ll be able to see where she’s located. Brides in different parts of the nation are definitely going to be interested in different things for her wedding – now I’ll be able to show wedding vendors exactly who’s interested in what.
Bloggers – I will be able to tell you how many times a bride clicked through to your site and based on what search term she clicked through on, as well as the landing page that she entered on. This will help you improve your articles, understand your analytics better, as well as see how we are doing for you in terms of traffic being driven to your site.
I’ll leave you with some of our top trending reports for the week:
Pinwheels are always a lot of fun: http://my-wedding-concierge.com/Wedding-Trends/Pinwheels
Vintage Glamour is HOT: http://my-wedding-concierge.com/Wedding-Trends/Vintage%20Glamour
Succulents are ECO friendly and Gorgeous: http://my-wedding-concierge.com/Wedding-Trends/Succulents

Have a wonderful weekend!

I love finding new bloggers and seeing what is trending in the wedding world. I typically use a combination of my Google Reader, Bride Tide, AllTop, and searches in Delicious to find new blogs or bridal trends. I am happy to add this to my quiver of tools. I like the addied bonus that I can narrow by region. I am a regional blogger and enjoy covering trends and vendors in my area.

Great blog! You guys are doing great and looking forward to seeing the search engine app! I’d love a chance for my blog to be indexed with the wedding concierge, our styles are quite similar:)

What a fantastic program! Bloggers can use this information to know what trends brides are most interested in (although I do a ton of reading, I didn’t know that peacock feathers are big, for example, but learned about it from a bride) and then research and write about those topics in a useful, interesting way. It’s also a great way to know what products brides might be searching for and adjust your offerings (if you are on the retail side). I love the search app for finding like-minded people!

Pretty much everything you do Phyllis is awesome. You are taking the emerging mobile world and bringing the the most useful tools to brides, bloggers, vendors, caterers and wedding planners. And knowing that you are just a hop, skip and a jump away from us here in San Diego is nice in case we need any further info or updates. You Rock!
